Thank you for shopping at Smartcustomcam. We stand behind the quality of our professional modification services and hardware. Please review our policy regarding returns and refunds below.
Custom Modification Notice:
Because our products are professionally modified from genuine everyday items (pens, clocks, power banks, etc.), each unit is a custom-built hardware piece. Please ensure the product meets your requirements before placing an order.
1. 30-Day Return Window
You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- Unused and in the same condition that you received it.
- In the original packaging with all included accessories (cables, SD cards, manuals).
- Accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase.
2. Non-Returnable Items
Please note that the following cases are not eligible for a refund:
- Items with visible signs of use, physical damage, or tampering with the internal camera hardware.
- Products that have been disassembled or had their firmware modified by the user.
- Orders where the customer provided an incorrect shipping address leading to a lost package.
- Items seized by local customs due to regional legal restrictions (please check your local laws before ordering).
3. Defective or Damaged Items
If you receive a defective item or if the camera hardware is not functioning as described, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will provide a prepaid return label (where applicable) or coordinate a free replacement after verifying the defect via video or photo evidence.
4. Refund Process
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you of the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
- If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment (Credit Card, PayPal, etc.).
- You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies (usually 5-10 business days).
5. Return Shipping Costs
For non-defective returns (e.g., change of mind), you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of initial shipping will be deducted from your refund.
6. Restocking Fee
Due to the labor involved in inspecting and recalibrating custom-modified surveillance hardware, a 15% restocking fee may apply to all non-defective returns to cover technical labor and repackaging costs.
